			i recommend the poly mounts too. in my 383 iroc, id tear up a stock rubber one with one hard shift, the poly one held together all through up until i sold the car and then some, actually i bought the drivetrain back and got the mount back, still great shape, just waiting for a car to use it in.

			ok so i got my order from Hardcorez28 yesterday and got the poly mount on about 10 min ago and took it for a test drive. Some good things some bad things came out of it.  It took about 30 min once i got the car and trans jacked up.  After the test drive i noticed there is much more vibration from the trans transfered to the cabin.  Going through the gears i can really feel it.  The biggest positive is i was having a problem where my header y-pipe was rubbing ever so slightly on my k member (prob cause the trans mount was nonexistant) but now there is no little metal to metal rubbing noise.  so im happy about that. 			I went through 4 rubber mounts on my old Z before I got the poly one. I worked at a parts store at the time so i kept them in stock and they were lifetime guarantee so id replace them on my lunch break    I got tired of breaking them up. 			I put on a prothane poly mount about 2 months ago. Alot more noise from the drivetrain, and feels like stiffer shifts (a4 here). Some of the noise has gone away, but there is still alot there.  
 
I also heard that putting on a poly tranny mount with stock rubber motor mounts is bad for the transmission. I believe it considering the shifts feel firmer, so more stress is being applied to the tranny. 			how hard is it to upgrade the motor mounts? and after a few hundred mile my trans mount has felt much better.  It was so stiff at first. It felt like i ras riding on four flat tires if i launched the car. Using polymounts on an Automatic transmission with stock rubber engine mounts up front will crack the extension housing on the tranny along with putting aditional stress on different parts that connect to the Torque converter .. 
Adding poly motor mounts up front only buy a little more insurance for preventing that..

			If you don't beat on the car all that much you're fine with a poly mount...especially in a 6cyl. 
 
As for doing the motor mounts....easy job.  Put the car on ramps, remove the motor mount through bolts (2 of them), use a cherry picker to raise the engine off the mounts 2 or 3 inches, remove old mounts and replace with new ones.
