August Car of the Month Submissions
Anyone can post one picture of their Camaro or Firebird in this thread.
Please include your name and a short paragraph describing the mods done to the car and/or a short story about the car as well.
If this is not posted in this thread by the time voting begins, your car will not be included in the vote.
At the last week of the month we will post a poll that will last for one week (7 days) and the winner will get to spend the following month showcased on the home page of the site. Past winners will not be eligible to win again for 12 months.
All submitted pictures should be a minimum size of 640 x 480, as this is the size of the image that will be posted on the home page. If you aren't sure of the size, post it up the largest image you have (within reason).
Lets get those submissions in!

My name is James Newcomb and I've owned this car for 3 and a half years. when i bought this car it was all original minus the paint. Now it sports a reupholstered interior, its second paint job which includes 4 coats of clear, 4 coats of metal flake, and custom flames that were done about 98% freehand, new-ish wheels/tires and retains the healthy factory 5.0 motor. stock transmission and rear as well. ive spent countless amounts of dollars to get this car where it is today and spending countless more in the future! So far this year it's brought 2 trophies from 2 different shows that i've entered in. 1 with the 1 year old paint, 1 with the new paint lol. thanks for lookin.

I bought this car from a friend as a total wreck back in 2003 when I was a senior in HS. I was currently working at an auto body shop and spent many nights and weekends fixing the driver side suspension as well as prepping the whole car for a repaint. The car was daily driven for about 3 years and is now a garage king. The car is basically a full bolt-on car. It has new factory L98 heads, AC/smog/delete, Hooker Super Comp long tube headers, mufflex ORY, 3" magnaflow cat-back, 3.42 posi 10 bolt rear, 17x9 Miglia wheels, fiberglass SS hood, and 4th gen charcoal/gray cloth seats. I recently finished the suspension rebuild including bigger sway bars, poly bushings, new steering components, and an eibach pro-kit. I still have to finish the 91-92 GFX swap and possibly a Hawk's 5" spoiler and then the car will be where I want it as far as appearance goes. I also have future plans for a 400 small block and a T56.

yeah yours is super sweet but you need a better photo. a litle more angle and turning your wheels to the camera would help a lot. that and take the photo in a spot where you don't see another car's tail

I bought the car as my first car in 2000 from an elderly woman down the road. Despite how that sounds the car had a really rough life, by the time i bought it, it was a shadow of its former self. Now 8 years later its almost completely rebuilt sporting a 500 horse, fully forged 408ci stroker motor, tk600 5 speed, 3.5" aluminum driveshaft and 9" Ford rear. Power gets to the ground via BFG rubber 335/30/18 in the rear and 245/40/18 in the front, and is stopped by c5 vette brakes up front and ls1 discs on the rear. It rides on coil-overs front and rear, and UMI/Spohn suspension parts hold it all together. I still working on the interior and hope to have it finished soon. Future plans include wider front wheels, 8pt cage, some engine work and a new exhaust.

2002 Camaro SS #5290
I bought this car at Tom Oates Chevrolet in Chester Springs, PA in November 2004 with 11,000 miles on it. The car is everything I was looking for. Black SS, M6, power everything, low mileage, t-tops, black leather, and un-molested. Since purchasing the car I have added a set of 18" C5 Z06 wheels, SLP SFC's, SLP STB, SLP Lid, & TR Ported TB. This winter I added UMI Suspension Components consisting of Torque Arm, TA relocation kit, Panhard Bar, and Lower Control Arms. Recently installed were QTP longtubes and the Bassani True Dual Exhaust System. Future plans include a Heads & Cam Setup, and Slso lowering the Car with Strano Springs and Koni Shocks. I've had a blast with this car, and hope to keep it for many years to come.

2000 Ponitac Trans am Ram air.
I got the car on friday july 11th,2008. Its a 2000 Trans am ram air, M6, with a factory optioned SLP Lid. Car has 59,700 miles. Car has only had 1 owner before me. Car is in mint condition. Just looking at the windshield you can tell the car was never driven in the rain there are no marks from wipers being used. I have always loved and wanted a LS1 Trans am or even a LS1 Camaro. I have plans for the car that will later come down the road. Since friday i have put 800 miles on the car. Taken a bunch of pics of it. I havent slept much lately I wake up early in the morning and clean the car. Its amazing finally having a 4th Gen. pic was taking with my cell phone i dont have my digital camera at this time.

I bought this car about 4 years ago at the dealership I work for. It has a stock 305 under the hood with Flowtech headers and a 3" Flowmaster exhaust. I rebuilt the front suspension last summer with all new poly bushings, Spohn wonder bar, Hotchkis SFC's and new shocks. In the next few weeks I hope to get started on the rear suspension, swapping out the current rear for a posi with disc brakes and a different torque converter.

1999 Camaro Z28
I am 17 years old and am lucky enough to have an LS1 Camaro as my first car. I got a part time job last year and worked my ass off to pick this Z up in January. I grew up with my dad owning performance cars and he had two 4th gens(95 T/A and a 00 T/A). He became paralyzed at the beginning of last year and with that went his 00 T/A. I missed the 00 T/A and knew I needed to get into one when I started driving, so in a way, I'm following in my father's footsteps since he can no longer own a sweet f-body. Since January, I have made this car pretty much a full bolt on car; from an SLP lid, LS6 Intake Manifold, Hooker Headers, TSP Catted Y, Magnaflow catback, MSD wires, NGK TR55's, Hurst Billet Plus shifter, and some stereo work. I have put a lot of money into the car, and I think it shows it.

1967 Camaro
Damon Osborne
This Plain-Jane 1967 Camaro was originally a blue on blue car with very few options besides the 327 and Powerglide. It now has a mild 350 with a 200-4R overdrive transmission, power steering from a WS6 Trans Am, and power front disk brakes. The body has been restored with new sheetmetal and finished with a bright red/gold metallic paint. The interior is now black. Although the car was once restored, when I bought it, it had been neglected for a long time. Over the last year, the mechanical systems have been restored, and the car is now a fun driver that loves freeway speeds. My wife and I reguarly take it on trips and it even manages 20+ MPG! Not bad for a carbureted V8!
