ever get a ticket in NY?
Got a speeding ticket last night as mentioned in my other thread...57 in a 40. ive never gotten a ticket in NY, and havent gotten one at all in 3-4 years. i have to mail in my plea, should i plea not guilty, go to court, and hope it drops to something less than 17 over? do they do that in NY like they do in NJ?

Read this
Your ticket is 4 points. New York and New Jersey do share traffic records, but New Jersey has the right give you points. I know PA does not give points for minor offenses, but they do have the option.
I would take it to court and see what happens. As stated in the article above, upstate NY does do plea bargains, while NYC does not.

can't you get charged again in jersey? or do they just assess the points and whatever surcharges that may come from it do?

it worked for me i over payed it by 100 and i have throw out the refund check and just checked my abstrect it still clean

ive gotten a ticket in nyc for improper turn, points never showed on my nj license.
if you wanna go to court, get a lawyer.

i got a not wearing seat belt ticket in nyc. i was wearing it. took it off to get ins and stuff. gave me a ticket anyway. my outcome: never plead never paid fine now 175.00 suspended ny driving priv. who cares i dont need to go there  ive gotten 2 tiles and reg in jersey nothing showed

i dont really need a lawyer, im just going to request to talk to the prosecutor. did it when i got my first ticket as a youngin
