quick build idea... opinions

this is just off the top of my head quick but i wanna hear opinions..

WHEN i get around to rebuilding my 85 iroc... i wanna stay driveable and not too crazy, but i want respectable power..

currently, the motor is the original LQ4 with a l69 air cleaner, and original T5 trans with a 3:42 drum rear.

My idea is an LS1 longblock, dual plane intake, holley 750 or 600 carb(i have both) with an ls1 T56.

The car will be fully rebuilt so swapping a k member is no big deal.
All id really need to buy is the Shortblock(i have 241 heads) and the carb converiosn kit for the coils and the manifold. I have accesories, waterpumps, and tons of odd and end parts, id use oem ls1 manifolds and make an oem y pipe fit.

the 85 is already lowered and has a catback so i dont need those things.

oh and the carbed LS1 would still retain the L69 dual snorkle air cleaner.

Sounds like a fun idea.
