v6 oil in the intake elbow

93 3.4l v6 camaro runs fine found oil in the intake when swapping filters.

so what does this mean?

what kind of filter was on it? K&N and some other aftermarket filters have oil in them

It depends on how much oil, and what color. The K&N and similar oils are reddish-color, so if it's a reddish oil, it's from the filter.
