i feel like an idiot...
as many of u know, my ss is definately lacking a good tune.
I have had HP tuners for a while, and did some work with it back when i first fired it up in Feb 2007. i have several versions of the tune ive been running, evens ones with the only difference being RPM drops. Well tonight im downloading the latest hp version and figured id spend some time going over the tunes i had saved and seeing what i had. I just happened to do a compare files of my current tune im running and the last main tune i made. and oops... the are very different, when i did the last rpm drop i must have did it to an earlier version of my tune, basically omitting many changes i need. i'll be making the corrections tomorrow night and next time im in NJ, ill reflash the ecm and take it out for a spin...

Didnt I say at trucks that you should have gone through and read the whole how-to on the tuner, esp since you sent the how to link to your buddy?

A legit running motor? That can maybe stay running at idle?

i flashed the ecm this morning. idle has improved, doesnt drop like/as much as it used to. and rebounds much quicker to a steady idle.
i took the car out to see if i could notice any improvement otherwise, but with it slightly raining i had absolutely no traction just off idle... so couldnt get a good feel. however i think it felt like it had some more grunt while spinning through the gears lol. i would get up to about 60 in third, and while in gear during steady hard acceleration, the tires would just tear loose at 65/70 mph

tried again today to see how it is...
i cant get a reasonable feel for it
anythign in 1st or 2nd over 1/2 throttle results in tire spin, on dry ground no leaves.
any full throttle blasts in 3rd result is loss of traction around 5500 rpms
i guess it made some improvement.
I cant do a real 0-100mph blast just beacuse theres no road around here i can get away with it. car sounds like a nascar on roids wide open. even 50% throttle sounds like all hell is breaking loose, and and cops in the area would be all over me. plus i dont like blatnently breaking the speed limit thta much, 10-15mph maybe, but 100on the street, no more...
gotta get to the track an dget new times... but once again, no time for that... ill have to wait till 2010 to get updated slips.
