For a T/A... the dual tips.
Eh. Its okay. You can get it cheaper peicemeal if you want... If you want to do headers down the road, stay clear of the LM.

Loudmouth came on my car. One long highway drive and it became the first thing that got changed. It is a wretched sounding system from the outside of the car, but the way it resonates inside is wwwwaaaaayyyyyyy worse.
Mufflex 3.5" with Spintech all the way Sounds great, doesn't resonate through the car, and get plenty loud when you use the right pedal

wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too expensive IMO. i do like the loudmouth though.
i got a lid and magnaflow catback for less than $100 slightly used. there's always catbacks and lids for sale pretty cheap in the classifieds on here and other forums. only other thing in that kit i'd pay even half price for is the cold air kit. there was one in the classifieds on here recently for $100 i believe.
the smooth bellow just looks cooler than the stock bellow and the K&N adds like 1hp(even though it never needs to be replaced) but i've read too many bad reviews on it to ever consider buying one.
you said you didn't wanna piece it together but i think it's definetly worth buying the lid, catback, and ram air kit separately.

if you dont think longtubes and a loudmouth isnt obnoxious, you have at least a minor hearing issue
i meant the bunch of posts above yours though

i would think an a4 loudmouth would be more tolerable than an m6 loudmouth, except on the highway. this is speaking towards stock cars with catbacks only.

Buy a used lid for $50, air filter doesn't matter, Loudmouth is overrated so any cat-back will make good power, ram air isn't needed either. No way I would spend that money on that combo. For that money, get some LPP stainless longtube headers and a lid and a tune. You'll make a lot more power than the SLP combo.

not a prollem
and yes a loudmouth would be fine if it was just a catback on an a4. although with 3.23's my magnaflow gets a little annoying over 65ish. my cutout was 10x worse though. i'd imagine it'd be somewhere in between.

That is about the same speed that the loudmouth in my M6 became unbearable. The whole car would just hit a horrible harmonic that I couldn't stand.

Same thing in an A4 with 3.42s. Basically cruise speed made the car a harmonic torture chamber.

I like the LM2 on my car, I got the dual/dual. It is on the loud side, but IMO sounds a lot better than the Magnaflow, or Flowmaster. It's a great cat-back as long as you have "NO" intentions of putting headers on. The lid is good mod, and the ram-air does work. The bellow is worthless. and you get a new filter.
I bought the flow pac because I hate buying used stuff, and I needed an air filter and got 10% off. If your getting a $100 off thats not bad.

i remember he had an slp one for sale like 6 months ago when i first joined this site. he was selling that and a bunch of nitrous stuff i think that he got outta a civic he was fixing up? don't ask me how i remember that. i think the lid had some kind of gold outlined emblem on it.
this has hardly any relevance to this thread. i just had a compulsive urge to post.

i have the lm1 on my z and i actually dont think its that loud kinda quite down the highway but i havent been on any long drives yet just 20 mins down 295. i plan on doing long tubes with catted y this spring so well hear how it sounds at that point. im driving her down to fl some time in june. dont need to much noise on i95. had a summit glasspac on my 93 a4 z that dumped before the rear. never again i was near deaf when i got to my friends house in nc.

Be prepared to put on another cat-back if you go to longtubes, even with dual cats. Either that or just replace the LM1 resonator with the LM2 muffler.

I had LM1 cat back and YES it is obnoxious. Needless to say the cops showed up at my house ALLOT. When I did the LT's I got the LM2. And it is allot deeper now and not as loud and obnoxious.
