I agree that ticket prices are way too high these days....and a lot of the blame goes on Ticketmaster for their insane fees as far as I'm concerned.
I in no way discourage music sharing but I will say that I think record companies and bands have lost their number one method of making money, selling albums, so touring is probably one of the big breadwinners now. And let's not forget that everyone wants to see shows with fancy stage setups and pyrotechnics and whatever else. All expensive.
But yes.....prices still hurt.

I dont get it. I have heard of ticket being HUNDREDS of dollars. My cousin took his wife to see Bon Jovi or something and I think he paid like $400 for 2 tickets. At least with this show I got a CD of the album too. Granted they are not as cheap as most other concerts I have been to, like Static-X is usually under $20. Iron Maiden was the same price IIRC

I paid less for Led Zep tickets last year..and the exchange rate was bad.
Then again my whole trip to London was cheaper than some numbnuts paid for a single super bowl ticket.
We got a CD and a free d/l of the 1/31 concert with our tix.

Damn you went o see Zep?
Me and my girly will be there on the 31st. Opening is Machine Head who kick ass too so I'll be on the rail from start to finish. Btw after gen admission sold out I payed $140 each. Still worth it seeing as how I've never seen my favorite band of all time.
