iPhone ftw! I just bought I one tonight. So far very impressed. Lags a little more than I'd like while typing but other than that very happy

I have to say so far very impressed with the service. I have nearly full bars where I wouldn't have had any w verizon

AT&T has changed alot with the 3g service,what version did you get I got the 16gb and almost never have the lag issues or the problems with safari crashing.

iphone is awesome. i could never switch from blackberry though. i've grown to love it. and i need buttons. i've played with my friends iphone alot, its just that my fingers are too unsteady to hit such a small button that has no physical outline.
anyways, congrats melissa. have fun with the apps. thats the best part

i have the old school iphone...cracked screen and dropped it in a puddle once and a garbage can full of water and it still works flawlessly. i love the thing but if i didnt get a deal on it from my friend i probably would have never bought it

its funny you say that, two of my buddies went from blackberrys to the newer iphone, and before they played with the phone, they swore up and down that they would never get another phone not made by rim...

Is your number on a family share plan or do you have your own plan? If you switch from verizon and try to go back they might give you a hard time.

I have my own plan, but yes thats the problem.
I also think that my actuall plan with Verizon doesnt end for a little while. I remember them telling me that the New Every Two years deal really isnt 2 years, its more like 20-22 months? They bump you up a few months to keep you in with Verizon, but if you chose not to do that, then your actuall contract ends sometime later.
I remember getting my current phone in Marchish of 2007. If its 2 years, then my real contract doesnt end till March of next year...ugh.

doesnt matter really, its switching the plans thats the problem. And no one has jailbroke one to work with Verizon, so thats not working either.

maybe. but i hate touch screens. so iphone is out on that account alone
and al- the iphone will be with verizon once att loses exclusive rights to it

Not gonna happen....AT&T phones are all GSM and Verizon is EVDO and CDMA. No GSM phone can function on an EVDO / CDMA network.
I'm thinking it's likely that Verizon will eventually get the iPhone, but I'm surely not holding my breath.
