Local Junkyard
Any one know a good one around the area?
I need a hood, bumper and odds and ends for a SL1.

I still need to figure out what my parents and I are going to do. My mom wants to pay the deductible and be done with it, but my dad and I are hoping to get lucky at the junkyard. Find a silver SL1 etc....

i would go to a body shop first that gives free estimates before going the insurance route. then search around for parts. then crunch the numbers.

Well I am going to a shop tmmr that fixed the car when my bro smashed it.
A) Pay the 1000 to insurance have it fixed
B) If the quote from the shop is less than 1000, pay it out of pocket
C) Find silver parts, do it myself.

Its not my car. Parents already don't like the jalopy LT1, so to not make their car 100% would be bad.

its a pretty funny movie.
your deductible is $1000? i would also factor in how much a claim would raise your insurance. don't want to be paying for this over and over kinda thing.

Well I am going to assume the lady is going to claim it, which means I can be assured my insurance will know. My Dad is calling them tmmr to ask whether the rate increase will differ if we do or do not claim it.
And yea, 1000 deductible.

When you post about the SL1, you need to start saying "Saturn SL1" instead....everyone and their mother thinks that you are just mistyping LS1.....

When I lived in Old Bridge there were two junkyards...both on Texas Road. I wonder if they're still there?
