Durrrr...
Camaro FTW. There is a lot of talk of the numb steering on the Camaro.

The Mustang tested had the Track Pack, supposedly that tightens the car up quite a bit. The Mustang is also a few hundred pounds lighter than the Camaro, and that helps too. The said clearly that the Mustang and Camaro are neck and neck on smooth pavement, but if there are any bumps / imperfections / etc, the Camaro stays rock solid, and the Mustang starts chasing it's own tail....

I didnt realize/it wasnt pointed out they did a 13.0 on a freezing cold asphalt street! It probably does have mid-low 12s in it, of course with someone with a lot of practice behind the wheel. probably a good amount off the 0-60 as well. I demand a retest

The Mustang's track package seems to be a well sorted unit, but its costly adn drives the cost of the GT to north of the 2SS pricing.
Think of Mustang's track package as turning it up to 11, while Camaro SS's is only turned up to 8 or 9.

In drag racing, not handling. Unless every track and road was smooth as glass.

IRS had always had a problem of taking repeat beatings when compared to the live axle. The camaros IRS was designed for this specific purpose.

No, variable ratio hydraulic power steering directly from the Corvette. Pretty cool stuff.

IRS sucks for drag.....especially with big torque, not sure how strong those halfshafts are....but they wont last long through hard launches.

This car is a beaut and everyones gonna want a piece of the pie, however i'm still a nobile fan of the 4th gen mentality. Over time parts have become cheap, nothing really too complicated or impossible when fixing it... I can't imagine the electronic and mechanical hell for modifying (all the damn airbags, braking system, independent rear axle L99 4 cyl shutdown) uhh I can see imagine how many people will mess with that on their own and fail miserably. Although changing spark plugs and wires will finally leave skin left on my hands and arms. Simply the 4th gens are definitely hands on when it comes to modifying, yes the interior is a little disgusting at times especially here looking at the new 5th gen but it was easy and fun to be stripped apart. Now that we got that over with... waiting on the trans-am lol
