Hello from Paramus
Hey all, new forum guy here. My name is Mason, and I just bought a 1985 T/A, 47k original miles. T-tops, 5-spd, posi rear, 5.0 TBI High-output. This is my second trans am (my very first car was an '88 T/A, 5spd--sold it about 2 years ago). Anywho, just wanted to say hi, and am looking forward to getting to know everyone, and do some meets and cruises
-Mason

Welcome to the club! You've got a huge following in the Paramus area, I'm in Hawthorne myself and I work in the area at nights so you might catch my car on rt.4 & 17 on occassion.
What color is your car?

awesome car! funny because that was the absolutely identical car I had, but did many mods to it and made it look a tad bit sweeter. Is it TPI? I did a lot of mods to mine..swapped the 305 tpi out with a 4 bolt 350, did heads, cam swap, had the tranny worked, posi rear..was a cool 3rd gen than sold it before I left for the marines.. look forward to seeing more of the car

sweet... no, not a TPI, it's a TBI--rare option on the 5.0 HO. most came 4bbl in that year
*edit* - my old T/A was a TPI, though

ya I kick myself because I had the same year car, same everything as you but the Tuned port injection which was the most rare because it was the first year of it and not many had it... Kick myself everyday for selling it

thanks, all actually, i guess it would make sense that so many 85's are TPI, as that's the year that induction came into play on the T/A's. however, the TPI engines weren't available with a manual transmission that year
