saturn sl2 cam cover gasket
hey guys a friend of mine has a 98 saturn sl2. she said the dealer said she needed a cam cover gasket and it would cost her $260 to do the job. she doesnt have much money so i told her i could probably do the job and save her money.
first off has anyone done this job before. i havent worked on a saturn yet lol. but im pretty sure it shouldnt take long. maybe an hour tops. considering i can do the ones on my moms 99 olds intregue 3.5 in about an hour or so.

since its most likely a 1.9 twin cam then im willing to bet the ''cam cover gasket'' is just a valve cover and easy as punch. theyre torx bolts too iirc

If I knew you could do it that fast, I would have had you do the valve cover gaskets on my 99 Olds Intrigue 3.5. The longest part was cleaning everything; where the valve cover sits in the cover, and where it meets the head. Put new spark plugs in while I was in there too.

considering that the car he was working on is an inline 4 dohc the valve cover is on the top of the motor and can be done very easily. the olds however...the rear one isnt very fun but its easily doable
