CTS-V is on the top of my list of cars to look at once im done with college, And i think is one of the best(IMO of course) cars to come out of GM in the last few years. I personally rank it over the e39 m5 and a few other cars. Mustang does have the advantage of being new with factory warranty and all. And from what it seems they are very fun cars to drive

You really should toss out some criteria besides a price when asking for suggestions. Will you only buy a manual, or is that just preferred over an auto? Plan to mod the car at all, or keep it 100% bone stock for DD use only? 2 doors only, or is 4 ok? Good mileage a must? etc....

I'm thinking a G8 GT or a slightly used G8 GXP would be good just because they are solid, performance oriented cars that would fall into your price range.

Pricing is a biggie for me, and then also looking at insurance with 3 points on my liscence, i really am only lookin at manual cars. its only really going to be a daily driver, but i might do some things to it like exhaust, wheels, etc, small stuff. im looking for a coupe, but if it seems appealing enough to me as a four door, ill buy it. it must be rear wheel drive. good mileage is a must, im looking to find below 40,000 miles if i buy used

Get the V.
As you know probably know, 06-07 had the LS2, as well as the fixed & much more durable diff. Interior and creature comforts are awesome and it's a blast to drive. Incredible car all around.

Seriously, you'll thank me.
