i would say stick to a laptop... there will be one of those times when you wish you could bring it along and won't be able to if you get a desktop...
like i said... just check out best buy's website / store... they are featuring some of the nicer pre-built laptops which are a great deal for something thats more than you will ever need
its called best buy next class
