can this block be saved?

well heres the blown ls1 that i took out of my car today. any idea if the block can be fixed?

You might be able to resleeve it, but I'm not sure. Kinda hard to tell from the pics.

arent all ls1 blocks sleeved from the factory? if so just put a new sleeve in it

yea the camera i have is crap. it looks like that rod might have a slit in it also. ill have to pull the pan tomorrow and check out theh rest of the damage.

Could it be saved? Maybe.

Is it throwing good money after bad? Definitely.

Sleeves aren't cheap:

And the process to install isn't easy or cheap:

Use it for mock up or cash it in at the scrap yard.

you can have it resleved but for what u can buy a good block for its not worth it
