went to take teh lower intake off and the bolts were backing out...cause i never retorqued them like i shouldve....hoping thats all that was wrong but i have my doubts at the moment

okay well it still runs but after a 5 minute drive it was down almost a gallon of coolant and the oil is way overfull and milky. yayyyyyy head gaskets

whos got an LS1/T56 they wanna sell?

Replace head gaskets and larger pulley, cheaper than LS1 swap no?

rings are worn out....theres been a ton of blowby since i got it back. like, smoking from the breathers at idle type of blowby.

maybe not going with an LS1, but it definitely needs a new motor/rebuilt.

My next door neighbor has a wagon with a EFI 5.0 in it - same setup as in the mustang. It was his DD until early this year when the brake lines rotted and he decided it ain't worth the effort. Starts & runs. I bet he'd part with it for a few hundred bucks if you want to come get it and rebuild that one. I can ask if you want.

what year? some werent roller/forged, some had flat top pistons, etc

and yes SBR it would work...its on the list of options

Yeah it is alot of work but my cousins 460 notch is pretty wicked why not keep the blower with the 351??
