Why do we go through this every so often? Some of us, me included, happen to like Mustangs as well. Even if the 2010s have butt ugly rears.

Just because you're an f-body owner and fan doesn't mean you can't appreciate/like other cars. I would kill for a 98-02 WS.6 6 spd vert in either black, sunset orange metallic (favorite), or navy blue metallic.

if you want to be technical. the new camaro isnt an f-body. its an aussie car wearing an american car name. i can look at that pic that was posted and can say without a doubt...id rather own that sn95 than a new camaro. the only way a new camaro will join my stable is if it comes stock with a blower.

im an f-body fan....ive owned christ what....at least 4 f-bodies in the last 2 years. i dont see any f-bodies in the pic that was posted. so while you go ahead mr flooded intake newb and go bitch around the site about how bad your wife is and how bad you want tsar to give you a turkish mudshovel...ill be sitting here with a **** eating grin on my face because i can go outside right now and DRIVE MY CAR |

Actually, the chassis designation in the VIN for the Camaro is "F". Thats something every Camaro, from 1967 to present, have. It is an "F" body.
What really is an Fbody if nothing more then a Vin code?
Its not like there is any strain of original Fbody structure found in any 2002 Camaro?

it needs a live axle and to lose a few inches off its size. also ttops wouldve been a nice add. smaller wheel options would help too.

can i please get this off my chest though.

ITS NOT A CAMARO UNLESS THERE IS A Z28 IN THE LINEUP

Guess there was no Camaro from 74 to 77 either? Smaller wheels are not going to happen in a day in age when 17's are becoming standard on sub-compacts.
Live axle and Ttops? Thank goodness there are still 4th gens for you to buy. Really.
Camaro is not the car for you, but then again none of the current pony cars are, considering your high standards.

not to go off on a tagent, but do Mustang fans get all bent out of shape because the S197 isnt basedo n the Fox body, so its not a real Mustang? Or that unless its based off the Pinto or Falcon, its not a real Mustang?
Another reason that the Mustang fans will always be stronger then Camaro/Firebird fans. Camaro/Firebird fans are way way way too caught up on generation, powertrain, and now chassis designation to accept other variations of the car.
We, as a fan base, really need to snap the **** out of it.

camaro shares its platform with a four door. want heritage? go tell me the last time a camaro shared its platform with a 4 door. i also didnt say ttops were NECESSARY...but it would have been nice.

in the last few years ford has done a better job than chevy at turning around their image. the live axle also helps cut some costs too.

camaro to me lost is pony car roots. its supposed to be bang for your buck. back when the 4th gen lt1 and ls1 cars were romping around the avg sedan was a boring plastic throwaway with a boring v6 doing high 16s on the 1/4 mile. now even the camry runs in the 14s.

40k bucks for a car that does the same thing as my old 98 did doesnt impress me one bit. id rather take the mustang that does it for 10 grand cheaper and gets me a higher model |
