The Nova platform was already in development the time the idea for Chevy's Mustang fighter hit the drawing board.

Argh, this may be the dumbest thread in the past 6 months! I just saw 6 pages and decided to read it. What a load of numbnuts we have here. There is so much stupid in this thread I had to take notes.
Different strokes for different folks, well said.

There is nothing wrong with liking/owning/talking about other makes/models of cars. There are some Mustangs that are better than Camaros. The new mustang holds a nice weight advantage over the SUV-tire clad and bloated Camaro. Get over it. It is also ok to not like other makes/models of cars. The new Mustang is ugly, especially the back of it. The new SUV-tire clad and bloated Camaro looks nicer to me.

One exception. Anyone that thinks a late model mustang looks better than a 1969 COPO Camaro should be banned for being a total idiot and have his eyes checked.

New guy: Really? Gerbil jokes? Good lord. And the big font, please.

Al: There was a Z28 in 1974 as well as 1977. Also **** you late 2nd gens are great. Go buy some fender flares for that 3rd gen you got.

Tsar: Yes, Melissa calls you Vitals too.

NastyLS1: Live axles are as ancient as leaf springs. However both can be quite effective. And judging by the track record of live axles in 3rd & 4th gens your argument is terrible at best. Also, you should never argue automotive history, you are wrong probably 99% of the time. One more thing, a bennie cannot call another person a bennie. If you live in Hamilton you are no less a bennie/shoobie than someone from Philly or Bergen. Dumbass.

 Kasey: FTW

Now, getting back on topic, the pictures in the 1st post are stupid. Whoever had that idea should be banned from thinking ever again.

I belive it was John Barb that started the Vitals thing, and thats pretty much what everyone has called you.
Bite me Old Man. I forgot whent they killed the Z28. It was all in the mishmash of massive bumpers and poor design, horrible performance and disasterious fuel economy

 | Yes, you're 307 powered car with no crash protection at all was such a performance improvement.

And this is pushing aside everything that is swappable among all GM cars of that vintage, like engines, transmissions, etc. I think steering columns swap as well. Not sure though.

Either way it sure shoots a hole in the argument about Camaros and 4-door platforms.
