NO. Do not bring your car to Newark. The parking garage may be safe enough but other places in the area are not.

I voted leave it home. If I remember correctly, NJIT, ECC and Rutgers Newark are all right in the same general area. Not the greatest. I wouldn't trust ANY parking garage in Newark for leaving a vehicle overnight every day, even if security seems good. Leave the car home; someone's gonna steal from it or eff it up somehow.
Newark's gotten a little better, but if you feel the need to go out for a late snack, don't go alone. It's still Newark.

I always had my car with me, wherever I went. With that said, I wouldn't leave an unattended turd in Newark...

Hook it up
all my classes are on College Ave, but I'm over on Busch this year. Busing is gonna suck; and I doubt I'll find an open meter.

the NJIT parking garage isn't so bad. I had my truck in there yesterday. Kinda close with the low ceiling but it fit.

Years ago, my friend's younger brother went to Rutgers, and cruised up to the Newark campus one night for a party. A few hours later, his Mustang GT was gone. They found it stripped and burned a week later in an abandoned lot somewhere in Newark.
Please, leave your car home.
