Firefox issue

The past few weeks, I've gotten this several times on my school laptop.

Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system

Meaning I can't get onto Firefox unless I restart, yet nothing is in the box if I do CTRL+ALT+DELETE....what's the problem here?

Sometimes that happens to me, when you go into task manager are you looking for Firefox in the application bar or the process bar? The application may have closed in task manager but the process is still running. Manually end the process and then you can open up Firefox again.

In the "Process List", look for firefox.exe and close it.

I'd still try to uninstall + reinstall firefox. Flash could also be messing with it.
