3.8L Throtle Body

I have a 99 Firebird and i was trying to get a bigger throttle body and some spacers but i'm having a hard time finding anything due to the fact its electronic and not cable driven. Any ideas or suggestions?

why are you looking for a bigger one? Stock one suffices for a while. What mods do you have?

Try

www.intense-racing.com

They deal with the GTP's 3.8's ( same motor just forged pistons and rods). I got all of my valve train through them and also My Pistons and Rods for my 98 Firebird.

Also people have modified LS1 Tb's and Mass air metors to there 3.8's.

You have a pretty fair amount of control over the TB in the tune. If you are into drag racing you can actually do some pretty neat stuff with it, like use it as a 2 step If you have a laptop, get yourself a copy of HP Tuners and start reading up on it. You won't be disappointed.

Actually we dyno tested a TB spacer on my 98 Firebird. For 40.00
It gained 2 hp over the entire curve and 3 ftlbs of Tq. Not to shabby for 40.00. Thats like a K&N airfilter gain.

To be honest I wouldnt mess with the TB until you get a ported intake and Heads and cam. I was making great power with the heads and cam with stock TB on my 98. The TB was going to be my next mod but I never got around to it.

I think a nice set of Roller Rockers, Headers, lid, and a full exhaust will be a good start to what you want to achieve. That should get you around 240hp and 250tq @ the motor. I would do that along with a stall converter until you decide if you want to do Heads cam intake, Turbo, Supercharger, or nitrous.
