IDK, I could see them offended if they wore French flags since that's who attacked the mexican army that day (thou were defeated) but even if the kids wree tryign to get a rift out of the kids atthe school, the V.P. handled it poorly

Wouldn't the freedom of expression still be covered in a public school? I know school can have their own rule sand all, but I was under the impression that basic liberties could not be infringed in a public place, regardless. I mean, I'm sure court houses have their own "rules" like schools do, but that didn't work in their favor. Am I off base here?

off base. schools can uphold dress codes and such. already been through courts.

LOL!!! true, listening to the interview of the girl that sai d they should apologize, she was tryign to stay away from any technical info of why that day was important. they're high school kids, I'm sure maybe a handful of kids there fully understand the signifigance of it. I live in New Jersey and I know more abotu it then they do for gods sake!!!! lol

So basicly a bunch of PITA kids were gunna use the flag as protection, they were asked to leave, and everyone is up in arms on both sides.
Overreaction to a very touchy subject that will somehow become some talking point for both sides.
