Adjust driver's side window?

It looks like the previous owner had either the glass or the motor replaced (I'm betting motor.) Well whoever replaced it did a crappy job because the window goes all the way up, but before the motor stops with the window snugly at the top where it's supposed to be, it comes back down about a 1/4" so my window leaks slightly when it rains or I wash my car
Is there a way to adjust either the window position or something else so the window closes properly?

Yes. There should be some felt-tipped tensioners at the top of the door under the door panel. If those are mis-adjusted you will have a problem like yours.

Should the window be up or down when I do this?

It has to be down. Then raise the window and shut the door to see how it fits before reassembly. I ran into this exact same issue with a 99 T/A.

Yeah, it really sounds like what I dealt with. Plus, it's free to at least try the adjustment first.

One of the tensioners is missing (the one closest to the outside door handle) so that might be the problem. I just need to find who sells them.

Check out our classifieds. Maybe somebody parting a car has one you can use.
