and his a/c is on regardless of where the temp knob is or where the a/c and defroster control is, it always blows cold air

Many times. Hooking your electric fans to a toggle switch so you can leave them non helps, very common

Or fix it right.

The AC never stops regardless of setting? Huh. Are the radiator cooling fans running too?

Well this is one way that would possibly fix the problem, just giving options, which never hurts

if it blows cold then is the AC still running? Spina is saying it is staying on. If the AC stays on but no rad fans are on then it will get hot fast.

you trouble shoot why they are not working, then fix it. bad relays, bad fan motors, no power, no trigger, etc.

do this. turn off the HVAC completely at the controls, start the car. See if the compressor is running - the clutch will be engaged, you should be able to see it. See if the rad fans are on. Turn on the AC with the controls, see if the rad fans come on.

If you can't turn off the AC pull the AC fuse

is this an LT1 car?

If so, stock fans don't come on till ~220 range, so other than your AC problem, there may not be anything wrong...

why do that if there is nothing really wrong. What year car is it? It's hard to understand what exactly the problem here is. Do your fans come on at all? At any time?
