headers install?
I just bought my 99 camaro ss yesterday and I ordered headers today...where should I get them installed? I'm in middlesex, nj. I noticed ttp isn't a sponsor anymore and that is who I was going to go to. Its nice to be back in a fbody

Tools, jackstands, beer, and a few friends over a weekend will be cheaper than a shops cost to install them.

Congrats on the purchase. TTP is still around so I'm sure they can install them. If you are ambitous and offer what was listed above, plenty of people around to help do the job. I'm right in Piscataway.

I'm pretty mechanically inclined, but i don't want to deal with broken rusted 11 year old bolts..haha. If someone is willing to deal with that, I would take a helping hand, I couldn't do it at my place though...no tools or anything. I work in piscataway on stelton rd.

Get some. Soak bolts. Drink some. Win.

The studs that hold the manifolds on arent that bad. The only trouble with rust are the studs holding the y pipe and manifold together. But they usually snap before the nut comes off.
Hopefully you bought race headers and plan to delete the AIR/EGR. It will make your install much smoother.

I can turn a wrench....I've done a header on my other car....I'm just afraid of breaking the studs. Anyone in middlesex area willing to help? I'd buy dinner. I didn't get the race headers though. I don't have a place to do it at my house though. How long would it take roughly? I work 6 days a week..about 55 to 60hours. So it would have to be a sat night into sunday type of thing. Thanks!
