I.M.O.
1.Trans ams had a higher sticker price originally
2.I think there was less of them in production vrs. camaro ss
3.Alot more car than camaro ie:factory body kit, nicer interiors, nicer detailing/styling, seating has more adjustments & options, etc..

work the site? its pretty straight forward!

WS6 vs SS prices are comparable for the msot part, but WS6's are less frequently seen and look tons better!

Firebirds in general are more rare than Camaros.
WS6 is a model that is in demand when compared to a regular Trans Am. You could always get a TA, because you will most likely mod the car beyond what the WS6 came with.

It was Pontiacs flagship car.. Chevy had the Vette and Pontiacs big gun was the WS6 T/A.. and since they are making Camaros again I think that will hurt the value of the 4th gen Camaros..

i paid about 14,000 for my 2000 ss. and i have been working on it over this past year, rebuild the ls6, new cam, new tries, brakes, forged pistons, and alot of other small stuff.

i didnt want to go say 30,000 into a ws6 with buying it and then all the work i would have done... i know i would want to take out the ls1 and start with a ls6 or ls7... that right thier would push me over my budget...

what do you guys and girls think? any ideas on what you would do ?

You can buy a Ws6 for anywhere between 11k & 19k depending on miles. paying 30k for one would just be stupid, they were 30-32k brans new on showroom floor

no not paying 30,grand for one .. if i buy one for say 11k to 19k like you said, then the work i would do to it would push me up to 30k,, you know like if i took out the ls1 went with ls7 and all the other performance goods ... plus the small things you always have to work on

Ebay will probably distort pricing a bit. It's not the place for deals anymore.
If you are looking to do an engine swap, why would you buy a car with an engine in it? Why not look for roller? Why waste your money on a WS6 car when you sound like you are going to pour 10k into the thing anyway? Just for a badge? You can go on Ebay and buy the badge.

Long story short, buy a roller, regular Trans Am with a clean harness and build from there. No sense in buying a WS6 if you are going to spend that level of cash.

i think its pretty much been explained. ive driven camaros since ive gottem my license, and ive driven 2 WS6s. I felt like the Ws6 was a lot nicer of a car. interior is nicer and it looks nasty!

Yea if you're going to put in an LS7, just find a roller to begin with.

There's cheap rollers out there. I paid 2k for mine with a blown motor with the trans and mines a true ws6. So like everyone one else said its a waste to buy a $10k+ ws6.
