I was gonna ask why I never saw this car myself. Being 15 explains alot. I'm in Andover, my car has been on and off the road for the past 10 years. Mostly off as I'm rebuilding it and it sat for 4 years as well. Welcome to the boards. I'll be looking for that car around on the streets.

Who built your motor? I know a guy who has a 477 horse 82 Trans Am, its one fast car. My car is an 84 Trans Am in gray and silver. The car was an original 5 speed and 305HO car that I am rebuilding with a fully built suspension, PBR rear brakes and LS1 front brakes, aT56 which is in the car and a 383 stroker is planned. Power goals are at least 475 possibly more. I'm off 517 near the Lenape Lodge in Andover. At the moment I'm just hitting the rolling chassis stage, it will be some time before I have a motor unless I somehow find work. Where are you in Sparta? Its a bigger town than many think, which part of it? One of the last times my car was out in public the heater core blew up at the fair......if you were there, that was me with the steam pouring out.

around lake mohawk. to be exact, im off glenn road in sparta lake. my car was originally 305. we got this 350 out of a junkyard. to our suprise it was a cop motor. 1993 caprice but it had performance pistons, a corvette crank, and a corvette cam. we now have a radical cam, and other better parts, roller rockers, ported and polished intake, and heads, headers, etc. all the parts that came out of the 350 that were performance are going in the 305, then we might either get a rolling chassis, put the 305 in it, and sell it, or just get the engine done and sell it. my neighbor rebuilt the engine. he has a business with his brother. His name is ken goss. i can get a name of a business if u want. he is amazing with doin it too. everything has to be perfect. the engines he builds do take some time, but it is all worth it. i watched him built it. he builds race engines for orange county speedway racers, and they are amazing. with my engine he made sure every single number and measurement was exact and that everything was perfect. it was amazing watching him do this kuz he had it all up in his head. he has been doin it for years.

^ ?? Thats a lot of parasitic loss to the wheels..you sure its not 615-ish (@ 555hp) crank or 780-ish at the wheels (@875)? Being your 15, be careful when its time to run it on the streets youngin'.

That guy with the 82 I mentioned, his dad owns and runs Schwartz Performance. There is an 1100 HP Ultima and a 1200 HP Trans Am under construction in the family stable out there. Insane yes. lol. I met him in college we stay in touch when we can. I may ask about the neighbor. I have a combination in mind but it may be better if someone other than me builds it. The power figure will be 475 or somewhere north of that. Must run on pump gas and rev above 6000; I'd like a 6200 or 6500 RPM redline.
I know the area where you are at. You're only like 10-15 min away. I'm almost always heading over to Sparta Library, also when they start, you will find me at the Chatterbox Drive In for the Saturday Night cruise nights. I'm there almost all the time. I'll most likely be driving my daily driver, but maybe my brother will have his Fiero up there, and if I find work I may have the Trans Am up there at the end of the summer. I was after more of the sleeper look. So my car will look like a factory 84 TA. However, upon closer inspection, those who know these cars will know something is up. I'll be on the lookout for your car.
