2001 V6 Coolant Temp Sender Location?

My gf's Camaro overheated and we had it towed home. After trying to troubleshoot why It wont start I saw people saying a fault or melted Coolant sensor will cause it to not start.

So my question is Where are the located. most importantly the one for the PCM. link to a picture would be nice.

if its the sensor I think you're talking about its right under the throttle body

I checked the coolant temp sensor it appeared fine I cleaned it off and checked the ohms which were fine. 2,500ohms @ about 75 degrees

At first after we towed it home I had it running for a few minutes it was rough at idle and was less rough at around 3k rpm and I had the heater on. I lowered the engine Rpms and the car died. After that and the following day the car would start and be very rough and only stay on for 5-10 seconds and die

A mechanic friend of mine said its the fuel pump that went on the car. We had a p0440 error a few weeks ago and replaced the gas cap thinking that was the error. Not I'm wondering what made the fuel pump go.

The GM shop Manual days a fault fuel tank vent valve could cause the pump to be damaged.

Does anyone have a radiator pressure check device and adapters and a hand operated vacuum pump with the adapters?

Thanks that's reassuring lol. My friend said its the ethonal in the gas did it when I called him back.

I see I'll have to pull the exhaust out and such. I looked over a list of what has to be done. Do you have an idea of how long it will take and the manpower.

I'm just really weak now from spinal surgery a few weeks ago so its harder on me to fix cars. I would have probably had the damn thing dropped if I wasn't in the spot I'm in.

yea fuel pumps always go and are a bitch. my sisters old 02 v6 went at about 60k miles. ive done a few in third gens, same design as 4th gens, drop the exhaust, rear, and finally the tank
