My 1996 Trans Am WS6
I realized I never made a thread for it. well, probably because I'm wasting my money on other things and not dumping them into this turd.
Anyway... I'll try to go as best as I can in chronological order.
Let's go back to 2006. Fell asleep at the wheel with my 94 formula, and rear-ended a tractor trailer. Luckily it wasn't that fast of an impact and I came out unscathed.
Few months later, I got my 96 ws6 off of eBay
90k miles, all stock except for a garbage flowmaster muffler. First things first were to replace the exhaust with a real one. Brandie new from GMMG.
Installed it, took some photos. Said that 4x4 gap has to go.
Went to Mr. Strano and blew a pretty penny on Strano springs, Koni 4/4s, and an adj panhard bar.
Much better
At some point, I went to shift into 2nd doing a burnout.
Last time I really did burnouts lol. Had to upgrade to UMI stuff.
Dad gave me an eBay short throw, and I kept missing 3rd. MGW fixed that immediately. I also came across an LS1 center console so now I have a good cupholder!
Car needed brakes, so I went with LS1 fronts that were painted red.
Talked to our buddy Brian and managed to get a deal on a HID kit, and got some clear corners.
2nd clutch replacement. first one was rear main seal pissed all over OEM clutch and made it slip. this was my "stage 2" spec that just chattered like all hell and started to slip.
Superstorm sandy...
Replaced headlight cover and fender, but it is a backyard job
Had a little stint with C5 Z06 wheels with nitto nt05/nt05r
got 3rd place at Import Vs Domestic because this guy who has bracket raced for 30 years kicked my butt
Got some LPP headers (XSPower) and Y pipe. Currently no cats, but it definitely needs them. Got a PCM4LESS Tune as well to delete AIR/EGR/rear O2s
Was on LS1tech and came across a guy that made "frosted grids" out of the LT1 tails. I found a good used set, sent him 1. UPS broke them. Took my refund, got another set sent to him, and this is what I got.
Full LED bulbs as well. Reverse LEDs ftw!
Got the windows tinted, I believe 35%. Looks much better.
That is all I can remember right now. Just to recap...
Current mods:
LPP Longtube Headers
Offroad Y Pipe
GMMG Catback exhaust
PCM4LESS Tune
TPIS TB Air Foil
SPEC Stage 1 Clutch (garbage)
Super sweet Strut Tower Brace
BMR Subframe Connectors (welded)
Boxed Stock Rear LCAs
3.73s (blown, rebuilding 4.11 set)
Koni 4/4s with Strano Springs
UMI Adjustable Torque Arm attached to a UMI Relocation Crossmember
UMI Adjustable Panhard Bar
MGW Short Throw Shifter
LS1 Front Brakes
Blackbird HID system
Full Sound System with all powerbass speakers and a stealth box with a powerbass 10" sub.
Currently rebuilding the rear, setting drive line angle properly, installing the alpine/amp I got from Brian, magnaflow exhaust tips I won for free from 6LE, and getting new tires. current tires are ~8 years old and showing their age pretty badly.

Those clear rear tails look cool, I don't think I've ever noticed them.

When do you actually crack the motor open and mod it?

I was hoping for a head gasket issue so I have an excuse to tear it down and do LE1 or LE2 and a cam. I think full blown LE2 with everything is ~$2300

I took halogen vs LED pics. Have to dig them up.
Never took with all LEDs. I need to do that for sure.

Yeah then I had to come up with more cash for the house. RIP the dream. Guy said he's bringing his Camaro back to stock and he'd sell it back but hasn't responded
