I disagree with the saying that all guys are jerks. and hell, some girls really suck too. there is an equal amount on both sides.

However, most of you guys who i would think are awesome never say a word to any of us girls. and finally when you do, you would be surprised at how many of us are equally as interested.

a lot of you guys on the boards here seem like you are very cool guys with a good head on your shoulders. and i've talked to some of you outside of the boards to know this. so don't ever give up. besides, if you speak out, what's the worst that could happen? Yeah, i know what it is like to have been shot down, but after all, it does have to go both ways, so if they don't feel the same, don't dwell on it, cuz they aren't worth it when it can't work. and i know being shot down sucks, but hey, sometimes you aren't and you get a chance instead. but you'll never know if you will or not if you don't act on it.

Even if you get "rejected" it isn't bad. At least it's out of your mind.
I've had a huge crush on the girl next door to me since 1st grade. We were friends all through elementary school then she started to hang out with other people as did I. Highschool came quick and I was dating people from other schools, she was dating some older guy, needless to say, I finally confesed my love for her just to get it off my back. It didn't work out but I was ten times happier that she knew. If anything, I bet I made her day even if she didn't like me the same. That's what my friend always tells himself..., "I bet I made her day." and it's so true. We (girls and guys) exchange confidence through flirting, frustrating, but rewarding. Also what goes around comes around, trust me, just flirt and you may be suprised to get some back.
About the age thing, it doesn't matter so long as both of the individules see each other as something OTHER than a guide to life. Too often girls will date an older guy thinking he's going to show her experienced relationships... doesn't work that way folks. You can could find a person that's 20 years older than you and they're so imature it makes you're kid brother/sister look smart. Some people mature faster than others and never go into a relationship that you think of yourself as less worthy. That'll either piss the other person off or leave you broke and tired from giving so much with little return.
Okay, preacher mode off, turning colar around... sitting in for bachelor number 1. "if you were an animal which would you be and why?", I'd be a...... hehe.

Its very true, but after a certain period of time you dont feel confident.

Take me for example... I havent succesfully gotten a real date in months, and then you get all depressed, and totally give up for a while. Then when you want to try again, youve lost all confidence in talking to girls.

Its kinda like falling off a bike, and getting hurt real bad. Your afraid to get back on it and ride.

I still havent touched that bike in a while.

Better to have loved and lost than never loved at all!

So, we have many single guys and ladies here.

So..... I'm surprised...... with all of these single people posting in this thread.... we can't have people hit it off???

I agree, being single WAS fun for awhile, but it gets old after a year or so...although being a guy its alot harder to meet "interesting" people, i think girls have it easy (and yes i know that statement is gonna get me a lashin from every girl on the board). but seriously i'd love for a girl to ask me on a date, or initiate the conversation. who's with me on that one?

yeah, I would be one of njfboa's 19 year old lades. However, i'm no longer single, since sept 25th. but believe me i was single for a LOOOOOOOONG time before that. had a few of those "we're just 'together' " relationships, and believe me, they all went downhill fast.

she just wasn't good enough for you was she?!?! you had to skip out on her and go to the track instead!!!?!?

...Adda boy!! You're damn right! because after all, here are some reasons why your car can be more important than your human counterpart:

You tend to spend more money on your car than you do for human companions.

You're car takes you everywhere you need to go so that you don't have to walk, no questions asked.

You always take care of it when it's sick, and you never have to worry about catching what it's got.

Your car has come closer to your butt than your human counterpart ever has, not only more times, but for longer periods of time, at a time.

No matter how many times it fails you, you can't stay mad at it, (Unless you drive a mustang, it which case, you had what was coming to you. Sell that hunk of junk to some fool and then let them worry about it)

Your relationship with your car is probably one of the longest pre-marital relationships you will ever have.

Most people tend to hang on to beloved cars even after they have died. Do you keep your deceased in your driveway? I know I don't!

No matter how ugly it is, you still love it for what it's worth. And you don't even need to have had a few beers to think so.

When was the last time you washed your car? When was the last time you washed your counterpart? (Don't answer that last one unless it is a "never", please, for my sanity's sake)

You can have as many as you can afford at once, and none of them get jealous. And you don't even live in India!

Unlike the limited shades of brown and tan that humans come in, with cars you have the options of colors like Medium Maui Blue with Metal Flake. Ain't she pretty?

And Lastly, You have traveled many a road with your car, and you plan that the journey shall continue for ever after, until either you die, or your car dies, in which case, you will hang on to it for as long as you can accomodate it. And you may always bring it back from the dead.
