Just gotta watch those head gaskets and the timing belt on the 3.0 V6. I picked up an 88 SR5 4Runner 3 weeks ago. It only has 140K miles though. It has all the luxury options like power everything. I've got the performance parts catalogs if you're looking for anything for it.

I shoulda kept my taurus too. ONce the tranny dropped into gear it would chirp the orig from 89 spongy soft tires up front np. that trail is nothing compared to the set of snow covered stairs it went down...twice. buahaha
actually a quick funny off road story...a 2004 jeep wrangler came into the shop the other day..well..it was towed in..covered completly in mud..up to and past the doors was the water/mud line. Apparently the kid took his LEASED wrangler to some swampy trail..and it was a bit more then it could handle..hell it looked like more then bigfoot could handle..regardless the manual trans had locked up and upon dropping it out and opening it we shoveled about 10-20 pounds of sand/dirt from it another 30 was under the skid plate and tons all over the car..that was fun..lol
just remember to read "Professional driver on a closed course" and think about what it means haha

bwhaahah! Yeah, just put a set of shocks on this guys truck, Rancho 9000. He was driving on 18, and this car jumped into his lane, and hit the brakes. The truck went off orad into the ditch. He said that the truck handled that so great and that he went over the tons of crap in the ditch with no problem, that he came back and got another set for his other truck. 8)
