Funny how everyone is so down on the Mustang like it is some horrible stain on the market, it sells and the f-body didn't. Performance is great for guys like us, but most people buy based on popular styling and image, the Mustang hits both marks very squarely.

I am not a Mustang guy, but I understand that it is the pony car that has best succeeded in in hitting the center of the market most directly to take advantage of the greatest volume of customers.

There were one or two years in the mid 80s that the 5.0s were faster in a straight line than the Camaro, but other than that, Camaro has always held at least a mild performance advantage.

Sales of course, are a no-brainer win for the Mustang.
