Keep it, maybe you'll want to upgrade yours later.

Although, If it's aluminum, I'll take it off of your hands

OK now this really sucksss. I half installed my intake today because apparently 05-06 does not mean it will fit an 06! I bought the Injen cold air intake from Sportcompactonly.com because they said it will fit 05-06. LIES! I had to fabricate a custom bracket for the intake to fit. Not only that I have to extend the wires for the mass air flow sensor, because as they are now, they are pulled to the max. This blows. But the car does pull harder, and I hit max boost faster. I'm working friday so I'll through it back on the lift and fix it and make it nice. But that really pisses me off, I'm going to call up that company and let them have it about their false advertising.

The overall quality of the intake is substantially better than the K&N I installed on my friends SS cobalt how ever. If it fit, it would be perfect. The whine from the supercharger is amazing. But I get this weird high pitched screeching from the intake at certain loads and rpms. I gotta check that too. The installation was rushed cause I had class. I gotta go back and make it nice nice.

BTW I work at Hawthorne Chevy.

Oh and PS - It's a cold air intake, that goes off to the right side of the engine. It goes down into the fender well to right behind the d/s fog light.

Yeah I ordered my lastest suspension stuff from them. I really like their business and the fact that they are highly active on the forum. I just ordered my strut bar, and hopefully within the next 2 weeks ill order the anti roll kit. But nah I don't work during the school season, well I do, just fridays and saturdays, i'm full time during the summer and the winter break we get for christmass. Oh and about those stage kits...I'll get them...if they EVER come out.

PS - sorry about the pg13/r language

ahah its ok, I ****ing curse all the time.

I didnt realize that the Stage kits still arent available. I know GM pumped it up, and made a whole website about sport compacts.
I think that they might hold back and work on the new 2.0T motor. 260hp and a 6spd would sure make that Cobalt SS a sweet ride!!

sounds to me like there might be a leak somewhere on the new intake.

have someone power brake it and take a listen.
