anything you can do to a fourth gen you can do to a third. all of the rear suspension is pretty much identical. front is different. rears are the same minus 2 inches on each side for a thirdgen. drivetrain is the drivetrain...these cars easily accept many many modifications.
just understand, it is old, it will cost money, it will have problems.

its not terrbily hard if you have everything.

i like the feel of a 5 speed better plus the TKO is rated to 600ft/lb torque not to mention i love driving manual...just a totaly different experience

Bubba - get some solid details about the motor before you agree to buy anything. The 400 has a lot of potential as a fun motor, but if the builder doesn't know what he/she is doing it could be a disaster waiting to happen.
If it has problems, I would get it diagnosed by a professional before purchasing, unless it's ridiculously cheap.
