Rutgers itself sends out a large number of surveys throughout the school year. From everything to the dinning hall, to how much you drink. These are sent to every student with a rutger's email address. I can't say how many fill them out, and since the school has to raffle off a prize if you fill out the survey, I guess it used to that not many filled them out.
Location is correct. If you take surveys at Busch Library and then the same one at the grease trucks you will get the impression that you polled to extremely different universities', even though they are the same.
To add to Jersey Mike, the first semester is tough. You realize though that you have to make the extra effort. If you want to talk to your professor, go to his office hours, ask questions. Most professors love talking to students. The problem is most students are used to High School were the teacher is come to you if your struggling. With classes with 400+, professor can't care. The smart students will figure this out. The ones who barely pass, or even get kicked out (I know a few already) did not care to learn that lesson.
