My SS has been the daily driver for the last 3 years but you can't even attempt to drive it in any amount of snow with the 275 tires. I just bought a 1988 4Runner to be my winter beater and it worked well today.

Am I the only one who cant go anywhere at all in the snow? I got stuck 4 times trying to move it out of my driveway last year to the neighbors driveway. Its a joke and half in the snow. I don't know how anyone can rely on it as their primary vehicle.
Here it is right where it belongs.

I voted garage queen nice the Z sleeps indoors, but mine gets driven a lot in the nice weather. It humps out to Carlisle in June. It gets ~3000 miles on it (not last year, damn rain every other day). It almost wen on power tour last year until job paranoia hit. And it has seen rain a few times. But I don;t liek it. You have no idea how much better wipers are now than they were 30+ years ago.

:BS: You'd still be DD'ing the Jeep. You can't vote based on 'yes to'. I used to DD a 2nd gen and later a 3rd gen.

More BS. A good Camaro has no business out in the wet. That is why tracks close when it rains. Plus real performance tires hate temps below 40*
I dunno. I like keeping my 2nd gen nice. Sorry I make enough money to have a DD and a nice Camaro. Parts don't fall off trees for old Camaros and there are too many bad drivers out there for me to take that car anywhere anytime. Although I'd wager it would be more reliable than 1/2 the 3rd & 4th gens on this site

throw on some real winter tires and put some weight in the back and it's not that bad.
it can handle a little fluffy frozen water:

thanks for the compliment
could use some fresh paint here and there but overall decent shape for a 100k mile daily driver. it does what i need it to and doesn't ask any questions. i wish i could garage it but for now that's out of the question.

I used to drive my 92 RS, 98 T/A year round in all conditions and hated driving from Jackson to Pennsauken for work. I drove my 02 Z28 year round the 1st 2 years I had it, and had enough of that after I was able to to stop a few feet short of a 15 car pile-up on an entrance ramp on about 2" of ice. Bought the beater shortly after.

Drove the 67 year round for two years and the TA is driven everyday no matter what the weather. Got stuck parked at work a few times thats it. Weight in the back and get into second and its fine.

i call bs on this. a camaro is nothing more then a car and cars are ment for transporting from one point to another so camaro's do infact belong out when its wet. the reason tracks close when its rains is for safty seasons not because they are afraid of the cars getting wet. and yes performance tires are useless in this weather which is exactly why snow/winter tires are available.

an fbody is no better then any other car out there. its nothing more then just a car and should be driven in all weather all year long no matter what the weather. cars were ment to be driven into the ground and then fixed up and driven back into the ground then fixed up again.

You're on the wrong site. Sorry I don't treat my 2nd gen like a disposable tin can.

so your saying that your honda pilot and olds intrigue are disposable tin cans ? bonzo can you please explain to me what exactly makes your 2nd gen camaro better then those two cars instead of being on the same level as them ? what exactly makes your camaro royalty and why should it be held up high on a pedistal while your pilot and intrigue are not ? all three of them are basicly the same and should be used as such. sure they may look differant and your camaro may look cooler then the other two but it is no differant then them and should get the same daily driven treatment as them and nothing more. hell if you really liked your 2nd gen as much as you say you do. then you would think that you would drive it as much as humanly possible and wouldnt need a differant car for a daily driver sense if you loved your camaro you would daily drive the ever living hell out of it. instead of letting it sit there taking up space and collecting dust while somthing else gets driven instead.
im not trying to say that fbodies shouldnt be taken care of. sure like any other car they should get their oil filter changed every two weeks and ger their oil changed every 4-6 weeks and get washed for 3-4 hours straight on the weekend and then polished and waxed for another couple hours. and the interior should be cleaned with a q-tip and nail polish remover every so often. yet an fbody is nothing more then just a car and should be treated as such. when they were build and designed they were built and designed to be driven on a daily basis as daily drivers so why shouldnt they be used for their intended purpose? after all they are cars they are not an investment. if you want to invest in somthing sell the camaro to some one who will love it enough to drive the hell out of it and take that money to wall street or if you would rather have something to look at sell the camaro and go by some sort of statue to put in your garage somthing that has no other purpose but to be looked at and admired.
