Last time I gotta mention it. We do not know if in fact, he was drunk driving. Sure we have reasonable suspicion he was and to throw in an extremely high rate of speed on a back country road with woods and wildlife, it does seem really stupid. But this is all here say at this point and isn't necessary. He was a good guy.

Just saw another report released 30 mins ago after the autopsy said that they wont be releasing the tox Results for another 4-6weeks. Also the pictures are of him and his friends drinking around 1am. It is reported that he had at least 3 beers and 3 shots in a 4 hr period. The crash happened at 2:38am..

Yes, I am, in the sense that if you die from it it's considered a dick move to say "you brought it on yourself" and both are self destructive behaviors.

I did not say his alleged DUI was a good thing or that it was OK because he was a celebrity. Nor did I back up Billy Lane, or Kurt Busch, or DMX, and so forth about theirs. In Ryan's case a DUI has not even been proven yet, just strongly implied.

I am also not saying he got what he deserved, and that nobody should be sad about his passing. The guy shoved Matchbox cars up his ass for money, so a certain degree of recklessness is expected from him. I did not have any personal dealings Ryan however I know plenty of people who did, and the consensus was that he was a pretty decent guy. I hope the people that looked up to him can learn from his mistakes and avoid a similar fate.

6 drinks in 4 hours really isn't that much. Don't really know his weight off hand but if you want to look it up, have at it.

I could care less also. The dude was stupid and was killed and took another person with him as well. Doesnt really matter if he had 6 drinks or 10 drinks to me from his past he should have known better and should not have had 1 drink and then drove.

Yes and no. The law is BAC of .08 is considered DUI. No matter how much we bicker, it won't change what happened It bums me out, simple enough.

You ever taken or observed those classes? I don't know about PA but in NJ it's pretty much "hey you messed up, don't do it again" for 2 days... condone inebriation say oh thats fine just dont drive... drugs are mentioned and they dont really care... Seems like you have a fantasy world where the classes actually do something. They even straight up say "yeah most of you will be back here for a 2nd maybe 3rd time"

If he was in fact drunk this is no excuse for that, but still throwing stones about somebody who's recently deceased doesn't sit right with me

Yes I actually did go though DUI classes in Virginia with my roomate when he got his DUI. My commander made us both go though it since we lived together. It was infomative and was actually a week long if I remember correctly. Opened up my eyes to Drinking and driving. We ( Military) also had a big Saftey standown before every major holiday. Its 2 days were the hole command would got to a auditorium and get instructions on how to saftly BBQ for the 4th of July, Suicide awarness for the holidays and so on. Just about always the 2nd day was for Drunk Driving awareness. The command would have a State cop go over the laws with the entire command, they would have Marines and Sailors from our command that got DUI's go up on stage and tell there stories and what not to everyone.. 9 1/2 years of these I went though.

To me its very simple.. If you are going to drink then dont drive!! That way you know you are safe and you know that no matter what you will be @ 100% when you drive!! Am I wrong for feeling this way?

Many of my friends would come back from Iraq and just end up drinking to deal with there problems. That turned into more problems as they would get DUI's and get into alot of trouble with the Navy and get kicked out. I had another Marine buddy that was a Iraq War Vets that fought for americans overseas then when He got back got into a DUI car accident and kill a inocent person that a couple months ago He was fighting for.. He is in Levenworth for 10 years if I remember correctly on Manslaughter charges. No one memorialized him or even said he is a good person. Why is that? The guy was a real Hero in the world and now has been in prison for 5 years and forgotton about because he made a so called mistake.. That was his 1st DUI incident and I bet will be his last..

How many Drinking and driving incidents does somone have before its considered not a mistake anymore??

I also hear everyday about how bad the drivers are in NJ and Philly.. If thats true then why make it even worse but having some drinks and then driving out there with those so called bad drivers??

TMZ just reported that the cops said that Ryan Dunn was extremley Drunk during the crash the other night with a Blood Alcohol level more then 2 1/2 times the legal limit @ .196.. It was probably even higher when he left the bar since it was a couple hours before they were able to get a sample from his body for testing..

He was also driving between 130-140 mph when the car went off the road..

I thought the toxicology results were weeks away? How would this police chief know the results already? I think it's safe to say he was drunk but sounds to me like this chief just wants to grab some spotlight by opening his mouth.

I work on machines that run Drug and alchohal tests and each test for drug and alcholal takes about 30mins to run. The time also depends on the backlog the lab has. If they used my machine in the Montgomery county courthouse or a suburb courthouse then I could see them getting the results in a couple days but if they used my machines in the Philadelphia Court systems I could see the results taking a week or longer to get due to the backlog unless they put a High Priority on it for the lab to run or someone in the Lab wanted to get the results as soon as they can..

Not for Him and his passenger unfortunatly.. A very avoidable and pointless death. Its funny how everyone was killing Roger Ebert for what he posted on Monday and now everyone is praising Roger Ebert..

Two guys are dead and all you guys wanna talk about is how many drinks he had? Not like that will bring either of em back, or change a damn thing.

Sheesh.

Does the BAC level in a dead person drop fast enough for a few hours to make a difference? It's not like his liver was still processing anything....
