if your brakes suck too much to stop the car in a 1/2mile shut down area i don't see how you could drive it around on the street as you claim.

camaroracer1992 has a timeslip on our list of 11.3, that is without the aid of the 2stages of nitrous he has on board and all the weight reduction/chassis improvements he has done this off season. joey will lay down a respectable number when the tracks get opened back up this spring.
not enough to beat all of us, but respectable.

weight reduction as in he had it all set up as a 3600+lbs show car with the same motor in it, he is now "fixing" teh show car stuff so that the car is faster. jsut taking off heavy polished/chrome **** and replacing it with stuff that looks good and doesn't weigh the car down. lol
he also did front coil overs on the car and he is changing to a lighter wheel and tire combination.

NOPE...i don't have a car at all......
Blownrat, any and every poweradder has the same "deadly" affects on a stock engine. If you ran a blower on your van that added only 50 horse it wouldn't do any more or less damage than the 50 shot of nitrous. I'm supercharged as well and prefer it to N20, but don't knock the guys using it. It takes as much skill to perfectly tune a nitrous vehicle as it does a force inducted one.
Horsepower being equal ( ie: 250 shot o' juice or boost needed to equal that), a turbo or centrifugal blower puts LESS strain on an engine than nitrous. Your roots blower, however, is probably just as "harmful" as nitrous.

spool, axles, c-clip eliminators, bearings, gears, wheel studs, welding the axle tubes to the housing, and getting a good differential cover.

f-it. i have a stock 10 bolt with gears holding up for me. i am going to build a 10 bolt for my car. i dont need a stupid 9 inch. its easier to find a 8.8 that will hold the power just as well. 9 inchers are for old people with tubbed cars. i wouldnt be surprised if blownrat told me he had a 9 inch in his car.

1st: I too have a 10 bolt......it breaks on fairly frequent occassions
2nd: 8.8's are good rears, but they're no 9"
3rd: My dad is an old guy with a tubbed car that has a 9" in it....therefore I am offended that you are making fun of , but being right about my dad...lol

Hey, Hey I have a 9" and I'm not that old! Plus, it's not tubbed but to tell ya the truth this thing is way heavy compared to my old 7.5" or the dana 44 that I should have put in...

Where do I begin?? Yes, 9 inch is there. badz, actually, with my motor running a 1 to 1 ratio, my roots blower does not put any more strain on the motor than say a 100 shot. Now, if I change puilleys around and start under driving or over driving, yes, then extreme pressure on the rings and such. Also, I never really put n2o down, I just gave my opinion. camaroracer runs it, radialtire runs it, I could run it (choose not to right now). I just stated it's the easiest and fasest way to add hp (also the cheapest).
As for this PA vs NJ, no problem. Remember, PA has radialtire and camaroracer...one has already runs 9.2's and should be going faster and the other (when he gets the n2o to react right) should be mid to low 10's if not in the 9's also. Then there's me....LOL Keep in mind, this NJ vs PA thing is for STREET legal cars only. AND, I don't care if it's a weekend, weekday, whatever, you guys can look at my car in the staging lanes, cause then all you will see is the taillights!!!!!!!

I think you guys should just keep it simple like blown69 vs. njspeeder...Because if the flaming war starts with the pa vs. nj people will be like I have a friend who will beat you and so on...lol....

Nah its probably in the low 17's right now...but I was up late last night talking to Tim(njspeeder) and we figured out with corvette L98 58cc heads and all the parts I have,I should be in the 13's and then add a 50,75,100 shot possibly 12's!!

I cant get all bent out of shape about loosing..I had a goal to run 14's just months ago, with the help of JUST njfboa I turns out I will be runing 13's on the motor if I fork over a few bucks for heads! Basically what im saying Its all fun and games!, hell Id race (not me personally just the car!) blown69rat or any one else any day, just so I can get a before and after timeslip, you cant always go out expecting to win, cause when you dont, your gonna go and spend alot of money to beat t3h person you lost to...

I agree, it is all in fun. But here is my challenge.....
My car....vs....njspeeder, 383, bitchin, and anyone else who wants to step up. Now, if Joe wants in, then our 2 cars cars against the challengers. Keep it simple, a few PA cars against a few NJ cars. Race for fun and bragging rights.

sorry i am not trying to make fun of anyone directly. 9" 's have deff proven themselves and are probably the strongest/most plentifull rear out there. just busting chops. i have a buddy putting some serious power to 8.5 10 bolt, so i just made my mind up a few days ago, sold the 12 bolt for my car to build one of the 8.5 10 bolts, then selling my other 10 bolt and hopefully going to get a rear togather without spending too much out of pocket.

let me know when you do your track rental. i'd be interested in getting in if the invitation is out there, and if i got the cash. its usually in the ball park of 120 a car, right? if you want (and are looking for people) i have a few other freinds with some good running cars that would maybe interested too.

well if you guys wanna compete on who has the f-body with the largest wheels, then NJ wins!
how about a final grudge match at the nats where PA and NJ both picks 3 of their fastest f-bodies and see which state can produce the highest average of the three cars. so that gives everyone about half a year to continue building up their car to get it up to par

No UGB, more like 11's. Just like my fiero runs 11's. Or Al's ex's T/A runs 11's, Or like my moped runs 11's.
This is more bench racing than I can handle. Everyone's got excuses. Maybe Blown Rat thinks his brakes could be better, is there anything wrong with wanting your car to be as ready as you want it to be when you take it to the track? And Tim, I just hope that one day that these guys will be able to work around your schedule to run against you, cuz time and work is your excuse for everything. So while Blown rat is fixing his brakes, (be they okay for running now or not), you can get all your work time in, and hopefully, by the end of SEPTEMBER if we're lucky , we can put an end to this bench racing.
Should be a great spring/summer nonetheless. Can't wait to cheer you guys on from the burnout box. That's my kinda afternoon.
