fun to drive

tko is more then just swapping the trans-you need an aftermarket bellhousing, hydralic throwout and new clutch master cylinder, new crossmember and probably a new drive shaft..

A well tuned auto with an avg. driver will be faster then an avg driver in a manual. their is all sorts of verriables. But In my eyes Id rather have a street car/ DD with a manual, and a track car with an auto,

You guys can't really make generalizations about transmission type and speed/ET. There are too many other variables.

exactly- everyone is making blanket statements simply about the type of trans used and not the tons of different varibles that come into play....

well bottom line, its very hard to find a good enough driver to shift as perfect as a programmed computer.

You won't find a human that can row gears on a "normal" manual transmission (not gonna get into pushbuttons or sequential manuals) as fast as an automatic prepared for drag racing.

if the auto was prepped for drag racing then its not comparable or equal to a stock manual trans..its like comparing apples to oranges...

I was comparing a stock manual trans to a stock automatic trans, but either way its hard to find someone if anyone at all depending on the setup.

Even if it were a modded manual, you wouldn't be able to shift as quickly as the automatic.
