Different Years, Different Suspensions?

I got both my cars right next to eachother, the '86 TA and '89 Formula. Now, the Formula sits 3.5 inches LOWER than the TA. I looked for aftermarket components and both look exactly the same. Nothing in both looks cut or worn/needing replacement. Does anybody know or anybody have any clue? Did both years come with different suspension setups?

My next project in the TA is SFC's, Coils, F and R Swaybars, Adj Panhard Rod, LTA's and whatever else I think Im missing. Thanks

_Noah
