Until your nite is cut early by the lack there of. If I was a hardcore drag racer or if I thought street racing was cool, then I'd have nitrous. But I wouldn't mind having it . Also, I can't stand the prices. For the cost of a "good" kit I'd have a RMT or supercharger on the car! Which doesn't have that whole "fill the OTHER tank" hidden cost. I've only been in 2 vehicles with nitrous, it's fun, when the bottle is full.

keep in mind that the evo/modena race was from a roll as well...you'd waste one off the line in the worst way

so $400-500 for a kit compared to $2000-4000 for a blower? "awww this kit cost $400 I might as well fork over $4000!"
That camaro looked like turdish for having a "300 shot"

Nitrous does have an initial cheaper "buy in" vs blower/ turbo... but you have to keep on refilling the bottle.
Bottle runs out.... yes.... so I added a 2nd bottle and run them tandem style 8)
