Ahhhhhhh, today is the day..... looking at houses...
Yup, currently reside in Bergen county (north jersey)......
Found several houses out in Sussex county (north jersey still) in Vernon Twp and Lake Hopacog area.
Waiting to meet up w/ my realtor. Took the day off. Just relaxing.... then go see houses
Ahhhhh, soooo excited!

Ah yes, I remember doing the house search. It's an interesting experience. When you find a house that looks too good to be true, look everything over again and you'll eventually find out why. It's probably tougher in today's market trying to find a house you like. There are so many buyers that often it turns into bidding wars.

Bidding wars indeed. Lost a four way tie two weeks ago.
Sussex county does seem to be the best "bang for your buck" place so far. North of Sparta or west of Hackettstown. Currently looking in the Washington TWP area myself.
Good luck man. It's truly a war out there for houses.
ps. Houses in Sussex county with level driveways are hard to find. Well, depending on price range I suppose.

I like driving out to that area, their are some really really fun roads. Too bad you cant enjoy them very much with the bird on skinnies and manual steering.
Hope you find a place that isnt to far away.

Oops. Right now to me, everything north of Somerset county is simply "Northern Jersey".
I once drove straight west from Morristown, ending up on route 57 all the way to route 31. Fun drive and nice scenery. Just watch out for High Bridge - it'll trip you up if you're going too fast.
