Camaro Cops?

So, I am aware that camaros are sometimes used for police cars in some places in and nearer to the midewest, where speed limits are higher and roads are longer, but..

Is it true that there are some of these camaro cops down at the jersey shore? I was told this today, and I'm a bit skeptical about it. Someone please clarify, because i have yet to see one down there.

Yes, Wall Township has either a Pewter or Red late 4th gen Z28. Friend of mine has been pulled over a few times. Im sure that Dover police also have one, and I know they have a 5.0 GT as well.

Ive seen the NY State LT1 car, but thats it.

And when were you at the Jersey shore?

2 years ago I was at the shore for a week with some friends and yes, there was a legit 4th gen camaro cop car. It had pulled over an Merc. AMG after it had done a huge burnout.
Note to anybody that wants an AMG; they have too much exhaust. I could hear NO engine, just the tires turning it was so damn quiet.
That was the only time I've seen one.

Oh the way down to the Third Gen Nationals in MD a few weeks ago, my brother and I saw a MD state trooper in a Camaro that had someone pulled over, but never spotted one in Jersey...

they have two 5.0s, but i don't believe they have a camaro. they also have a couple of PT cruisers, one is a D.A.R.E. car, one a regular patrol car. i haven't been by their parking lot in a while, so i am unaware of other vehicles they might have obtained recently.

florida just got some worked-over marauders for their state troopers.

With regard to PT Cruisers, my town has a PT Cruiser DARE car (Middlesex Borough, the actual town within Middlesex County).

river vale pd has a mustang 5.0 DARE car, it was a drug seizure vehicle so they figured what better way to use it, not like they need a pursuit car in river vale anyway. Just too bad the motor cops got beemers there , some HDs would be nice.

As far as I know, NJ does not have any but here is proof that other states rock them!
Check out my cardomain site to see some of Florida's and Texas' camaro cop cars.

I got pulled over by a South Carolina state trooper. Their Camaros are silver with a blue star - I was looking for black and white.

Passed him in the minivan doing 86, when he was cruising along at 70. He said if I had at least "slowed down and not passed his muscle car like it was standing still" I would have just gotten a warning.

Ah well, at least it was a Camaro.
