i hate my car

i went home for lunch time today and thought that its such a nice day ill take the car to work. i was going to stay late and get my hood primed so i can paint it tomorrow. i live in franklin lakes and work in wycoff. its about a 10min ride. i get about a half mile from work and i smell antifreeze. so i pull over and shut the car off(it was getting alittle hot). i look under the front of the car. there was all my coolant laying on the ground. so i call work and one of the guys comes with some coolant and some screw drivers. all the clamps were tight, so i start to fill up the rad. i notice that the coolant was leaking out of the back of the waterpump. the guy from work goes back to work and gets me some wrenches. so i tighten up the plate on the back of the water pump and scweeze the lower hose and it starts leaking again. i was getting pretty pissed off by now. so i called a friend of mine and he came over with his tow truck and brought it back to my house. the bitch of it all is that it is a brand new water pump with less that 100 miles on the god dam think. this car fights me with everything that i do to it. i hope things get better soon. im going to replace the gasket tommorrow and see if that does anything. if not back to jegs it goes. this really sucks, my engine bay was spotless before this. now it looks like a disaster. sorry about my rant i just had to bitch about it.

bad parts

my 1986 ta after only owning it a week had the waterpump radiator and the fuelpump go all in the same day. went through 2 brand new water pumps and 3 fuel pumps within a week! i pt the last 2 fuel pumps in on my back in my driveway. little did i know the last pump i had put in there was one strap holding the gas tank up. that strap decided to break when i was under it. needless to say the tank was 3/4 full and the corner of the tank went through my ribs. i know what your going through belive me.

ouch. eventually the dark cloud passes. anytime you change the original configuration of something you open up the possibilities for something to go wrong. even if you're only performing preventative maintenance, you can let the gremlins loose. as your diagnostic skills increase you spend less time trying to figure out what the hell is wrong, but even then (as in my current case) you can't figure out how to fix the problem and have to call in an expert.
