Enjoy the pain killers. I was on Vicodin (sp?) for a week after I got mine out. I unfortunately ended up with a dry socket, which i guess is an exposed nerve where it doesnt scab over and it hurt like HELL! hopefully that doesnt happen to you.

Wife just had hers done 2 weeks ago. Â*She had a bad reaction to Vicodin so they put her on percocet.

Shes fine now, with half a pouch of percocet left. Â* 8)

EDIT: Hopefully yours went uneventfully. Just keep rinsing out your mouth for the next few weeks.

I had mine pulled last year with just the novicane. No gas or anything else.

The day i got them out was the worst because there no no one home, I was gagging on the guaze and bleeding like hell. I had perks prescribed to me but never took one of them. Still got the full bottle too.

The first day I lived off wendys frostys ... oh man they never tasted and felt so good..... lol

I thought everyone has wisdom teeth, just some are more bothersome than for others.

Kasey, here's to a speedy recovery! And please, don't try to play the trumpet until AFTER the stitches are out. The pressure can blow the stitch and cause some serious bleeding. Don't ask how I know that.

they should prescribe them instead of the percs... much, much better! i've had a bunch of teeth worked on in the last year. when they have to punch up through the palate with the novocaine needle to work on the top ones, well, i would recommend the gas instead. or maybe the gas and novocaine. gas, novocaine and a little whiskey? the pain level is higher than most of you will ever feel.
