If it is the bottom end, at least you can get it built up right, and not have any worries in the future.....

That's true. It figures that I have been shoping around for a built bottom end/short block and this happens

I think it was a message. Bad things may happen for good reasons?

Sucks btw, at least you have a daily to rely on.

then you're not thrashing at 2:am trying to get it back together because you have to work the next day. that sucks. my olds sounded like that before i signed the title over to the mechanic and told him to junk it. i wasn't even curious what it looked like inside, i just figured it was all junk and i wasn't about to put another motor in it.

i sent you a PM back but something is messed up with the board and i dont know if it sent... if you want give matt a call at the shop and he will set you up with something good... im guessing if you wanna budget setup u can go 346ci with a stock crank (treated) and then just forged rods and pistons. this way you can keep the price down but still have a strong motor. i dont think you will be pushing a ton of boost or anything so you can probally still use the stock crank for sure.

the number is 973-365-2270

Dang Rob, that sucks! What do you think happened?? Did you get a chance to get a good run in with the new top end setup?
