i need a parachute
does anyone know where i could get a parachute put on my 84' T/A, at 147mph. my oil pressure drops and that hurts a motor badly,when i slow the car down. need it asap. my paint guy is ready to paint the car for next year. plus motor is coming out soon. thanks. JR1.

Jr, I got mine from summit too. I use a deist, but I have a stroud catalog if you want to take a look at it.
About the oil pressure thing, from what i've seen and heard, the chute doesnt help the pressure dropping if its being caused by the surge of oil forward in the pan. The chute makes it a harder hit and can actually drop the pressure lower. With the new engine i was actually told to kill the engine after the finishline and coast to the end. I actually have a hard time makign it around the corner now when I pull the chute.

thats what i want to do is kill the engine to safe the motor, but i'm looking for someone to attach it to my car, i'm willing to pay somebody.thanks. JR1.

hell it cant be that bad, id offer to do it for ya. give Pro Start Engineering a call, they are located just off 78 in bloomsbury. they do the best frame work around, id imagine they can do a chute.

You could also check out race specialties. They built my dragster, and its not too far from you, its off 22 in Phillipsburg. The guy who owns it used to work for pro-start and went off on his own. They have a huge business now in Jr. Dragsters, but still do full size cars on the side.

I do mean randy. He's a great guy. You just have to catch him when he's actually there and not chasing a jr. event. The shops always open though.
