My first car 15 years ago was a rusted-out '76 Monte Carlo, "The Beast." It was white with maroon interior and a 350/4bbl under that 6' long hood. I owned it for 9 months and beat the death out of it.
Now, 15 years later, I own an '88 Monte Carlo SS; it's also white with a burgundy interior. Funny how history repeats itself!

1979 Ford Granada that my grand father gave to me only a very short time before he passed away. It was pretty cool cause you could shut the ignition off and walk into wawa come out the car would still be sputtering/ruinning. On I95 on the way to the shore on a friday afternoon rush hour the front tire left tire blew, I went across all three lanes and back into the grass median and never hit a car (My grandfather was definitely driving at that point cause i dont remember much of that) The tire couldnt of just blow it was a retread so the tread stayed on a quarter of the way and just flapped around ruining the whole fender/door/hood. Some guy came along and offered me a bit of money for it, so I sold it. Now I wish I had it back I guess for a sentimental reason.
Jon
PS- I had the Chevelle before the granada but it was not a driving vehicle at the time

my first car was a 71 nova, cool car i was 16 and would take my friends on hell rides late at night, my stepdad new and would just tell me not to get caught. i didnt have a liscense and the vehicle was uninsured with no registration. my uncle gave me that car, then i sold it to get a 72 chevelle. that was my first legit daily driver.

i had an 86 hyundai excel in high school. POS of a car to live with, but you couldn't kill the thing.
teh clock reset itself to 1:00 if the car was off for more than 20mins, iot had a motorcycle carb on it, wiring short in the steering column was fixed with "race car" push button start, and 0-60 was not always gonna happen.
the car did however once carry 13 people for about a mile, never got an oil change in the 3 years i drove it, and never left me stranded anywhere. so i guess it wasn't all bad.
lot of "firsts" in that car too
later

The 85 Camaro in my sig. Had a few hundred bucks in my wallet and needed transportation since I joined the Army Reserve while in college. Bought it from a gas station in Indianapolis, IN with broken idler arms. Drove it an hour back to Sears and had the arms replaced. Had a bunch of people standing around it wondering how I got back without loosing the front wheels.
Ahh the college days.
