well all 2000 model year rearend housings should physically be the same, so engine wouldnt matter, whats inside is usually the difference(posi/gears). I'm not sure what years/models got the independent rear suspension though. However, i think it may have just been the 99+ cobras that had the IRS. I have 2 axle housings from the 94-98 style mustang, both are possibly good. Each one had an axle sheered off right at the hub, the one needs a bearing and should be good, and the other seems fine. I also have a drivers side axle, a passenger side axle, the 2 rear end diff covers, a 3:27 gear set, and a posi set up with 3:73 gears. Those are the ford 8.8" rears with the quad shock setup. let me know if you need something and i'll dig them out after the weather dries up...hmm that reminds me, i have an accord tranny sitting back there too...
